Background
& History.
The project aimed to create an Austria-wide, multi- and intermodal journey planner for which the seven public transport authorities should provide public transport date (timetable and real-time data as well as incident messages). As a legal basis, the “Arbeitsgemeinschaft der österreichischen Verkehrsverbund-Organisationsgesellschaften” (ARGE ÖVV), the predecessor of today’s Mobility Association Austria (Mobilitätsverbünde Österreich), was thus founded in 2012.
Our subjects, goals and tasks have continuously evolved over the years and our collaborations have been developed further. Thus, we have become a significant and one of the main players in Austria’s public transport. As a competent and strong association, we represent the interests of public transport in national and international projects and industry initiatives in order to shape and continuously optimize mobility in Austria. – Together. For everyone.
